The app

What EggBasket collects

Nothing is sent to me. Everything you enter — flock names, hen names, daily egg counts, feed costs, notes and photos — is stored locally on your device. There is no sign-up, no login, and no email address required to use the app.

iCloud sync

If you enable sync, your data is stored in your own private iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit private database. Apple's terms and privacy policy govern that storage. I have no access to it, cannot read it, and cannot recover it for you. Sync is optional and off unless you turn it on.

Analytics and advertising

EggBasket contains no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, and no third-party trackers. There is no crash-reporting service collecting your data. I do not know how many hens you keep, how often you open the app, or whether you opened it at all.

Purchases

The one-time unlock is processed by Apple through the App Store. Apple handles payment and tells the app whether the unlock is active. I never see your name, payment details or address. Apple provides me only aggregate, anonymised sales reporting.

Permissions

EggBasket asks for the photo library or camera only if you attach a photo note, and only at the moment you do it. Photos you attach stay in the app's local storage and your iCloud. Notifications, if you enable reminders, are scheduled locally on your device.

Children

EggBasket is a general-audience utility and is not directed at children under 13. It collects no personal information from anyone, of any age.

This website

The calculators

The calculators on eggbasket.co run entirely in your browser. The numbers you type are never transmitted, never logged and never stored — not in a cookie, not in local storage, not anywhere. Close the tab and they are gone.

Email list

If you submit your email address to be told when EggBasket launches, that address is stored with Resend, my email provider, for the sole purpose of sending you one launch announcement. It is never sold, rented or used for anything else. Every message includes a one-click unsubscribe, and you can email me to be removed immediately.

Hosting and logs

This site is hosted on Vercel, which keeps standard server access logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL) for operational and security purposes. I do not run any analytics product on this site, set no advertising cookies, and use no third-party fonts or scripts — the typeface is served from this domain.

Your rights

Because the app holds no personal data on any system I control, there is no account to access, correct or delete, and no data-subject request to file. To erase everything the app holds, delete the app; if you used iCloud sync, also remove its data in iOS Settings under your name, then iCloud. For the email list, use the unsubscribe link or email me.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the date at the top changes and the substance of the change is described here. A policy that quietly grows a data-collection clause is not one worth publishing.
